How the picker decides

Each answer adds or takes points from six options: ServiceM8, Tradify, Fergus, simPRO, QuoteMate, and Xero Ignite on its own. Some answers rule a tool out completely, for example an Android crew rules out ServiceM8 because its Android app cannot quote or invoice. When two tools tie, the one with the cheaper entry price wins, so ServiceM8 Free and QuoteMate Free sit ahead of Tradify and Fergus. Xero Ignite on its own only comes first for one person who works mostly from a computer, does under 30 jobs a month, wants quotes and invoices and nothing else, and is willing to pay for it; if cheapest wins, the free tools do. The scoring is a plain file you can read at data/picker.json. It knows nothing about which vendor pays us.
